1. Show End-User Profile, Access, and Proxies

Summary:

All IDHub users have a profile, which shows what the User has access to. Let’s begin by following the below steps to view a User's Profile and Accesses:

  • Login as an End-User

  • From the Dashboard or left menu, navigate to “My Profile” section

  • From here, you can explore the functions on this page:

    • User Basic Details

    • User Access

    • User Proxies

    • User Direct Reports

  • Add a couple Proxies, edit the Proxies, and remove the Proxies

1. Show Profile as End-User Instructions

  • Login as an End-User

  • From Dashboard, click on "My Profile" button

  • Observe User’s basic details and Access to information

  • Click on “View More”

  • Observe right panel informing additional User information

  • Click on ‘x’ to close panel

*Note: When a user would like to view other user profiles, this scenario is used

  • Navigate to the “Search Catalog” page

  • Click on “Users” tab

  • Open any User by clicking the hyperlink on User name

  • Observe right panel informing User summary and Access to information

  • Click on “View Profile” button

  • Observe user’s complete Profile

  • Click on “View More”

  • Observe right panel informing additional User information

  • Click on ‘x’ to close panel

 

2. Show Access as End-User Instructions

  • Login as an End-User

  • From Dashboard, click on "My Profile" button

  • Within “My Access” section, observe User’s access to Roles and Applications

  • Open any Application by clicking the hyperlink on the description

  • Observe right panel informing Application Details, Entitlements, and Attributes

  • Click on “Remove” button

  • Observe Access can be requested to be removed

  • Click on “No” button

  • Click on ‘x’ to close panel

 

3. Add Proxy as End-User Instructions

  • Login as an End-User

  • From Dashboard, click on "My Profile" button

  • Click on “Add Proxy”

  • Select future date range for Proxy

  • Check the “Assign proxy to manager” box

  • Observe the User’s Manager has populated in the “Search User” field

  • Click on “Assign Proxy” button

  • Click on ‘x’ to close Proxy screen

  • Observe the popup which appears in upper right informing Proxy assigned successfully

  • Click on “View More” within “My Proxies” box

  • Observe Upcoming Proxies and Past Proxies

  • Click on ‘x’ to close

  • Click on “Ellipsis” next to added Proxy and select “Edit”

  • Observe that edits can be made and click ‘x’ to close

  • Click on “Ellipsis” next to added Proxy and select “Remove”

  • Click “Yes” button

  • Observe the popup which appears in upper right informing Proxy removed successfully

  • Observe that Proxy has been removed from “My Proxies” box

2. Request Applications, Entitlements, and/or Role Access and Track Requests

Summary:

IDHub users are given the privilege to Request Applications, Entitlements, and/or Roles that their organization is currently using. All Users can Track Requests and validate whether the Requests have been granted. To learn more about what Applications, Entitlements and Roles are, see the Appendix . Follow the below steps to add Applications, Entitlements, and Roles:

  • Applications - if you choose to Request an Application:

    • Search for any Application in the Catalog and add it to the Cart

    • Fill in required information and submit for Approval

  • Entitlements - if you choose to Request an Entitlement:

    • First, ensure the Request for the corresponding Application is completed and can be viewed from the “Requests” section, before the Entitlement is Requested.

    • Search for any Entitlement, corresponding to the Requested Application, and add it to the Cart

    • Submit for Approval

  • Roles - if you choose to request a Role:

    • Search for any Role in the Catalog and add it to the Cart

    • Submit for Approval

  • Submit the Request for a couple Applications and corresponding Entitlements.

  • Login as an End-User

  • From Dashboard, click on "Request Access" button

  • Click on “Applications” tab

  • View list of Applications in Catalog

  • Observe pink icon informing which applications user already has access to

  • Select a Catalog item by clicking on '+' on the Catalog item

  • Observe the count in “Cart Icon” has increased

  • Click on “Cart Icon” to view cart

  • Click on “Proceed” button

  • Observe User Request page

  • Click on “Continue” button

  • Fill Application form and click “Done” button (form may have pre-populated User information)

  • Click “Continue” button

  • Enter justification description for Request

  • Click “Submit” button

  • Observe popup message in upper right informing Request submitted successfully

*Note: Follow the same basic steps to add Entitlements and Roles to the application. Ensure the corresponding application is approved before Entitlements and Roles are added. Approval instructions are found within End-User Scenario #3: “Approve Requested Catalog Item”.

2. Track Submitted Request as End-User Instructions

  • Login as an End-User

  • From Dashboard, click on "Track Request" button

  • Open Requested Application/Entitlement/Role by clicking the hyperlink on the description

  • Observe “Request Workflow” section informing current Request status

  • Click on “Withdraw” button

  • Observe Request can be withdrawn

  • Click on “No” button
