To understand the functions of a System Administrator, we need to browse the administrator dashboard of IDHub Application.

Navigate to the installed instance of  IDHub URL and login with your user credentials. If you do not have URL or credentials, you will need to reach out to your IDHub Administrator, responsible for IDHub Setup to provide to you the 'System Administrator' role

Landing Page

On successful login, your landing page is your dashboard. As a System Administrator you are a power user and will have most of the administrator privileges required to manage IDHub. The Dashboard show look like below:

For Admin Section:

Quick Start

Quick Start is a feature available for administrators to configure IDHub. This usually is used by 'First Time users' that needs assistance to Setup IDHub for best use. You can select "View" to navigate to the Quick Start Wizard.

Dashboard Counter

This gives you a real time count of Applications,  Roles and Collections On-boarded for your Enterprise.

Manage Catalog

This is your starting point to submit an Application on-boarding request. Here, you can onboard Applications, Entitlement and Roles. You can also modify an existing catalog item, perform reconciliation on your application, download JSON file for any application or retire any catalog item.

You can also perform Bulk operations like Bulk Application Onboarding or Bulk Role Onboarding via uploading xls files

Email Templates

You can view out of the box (OOTB) templates available in IDHub for notification that are setup within our OOTB workflows. You have the ability to select a notification and change the content of the notification.

Follow Up On Your Requests

View the requests you submitted for Application on-boarding using Application Management.

Check Your Tasks

As your role also provides you with functions of an application owner, you will find resource assignment certification tasks assigned to you. Also, if you wear multiple hats, i.e you are also part of Access Manager approvers' group or the system implementation and fulfillment group then you will find tasks assigned to you here.

Certifications

This is an advanced access review process. An Admin can create access review certification definitions and assign certifiers for reviewing accesses. There are 2 different types of certifications done in IDHub: User based and Resource based (Resource here can mean anything from Application, Entitlements, Roles etc.)

Reporting

IDHub uses JSReports for fetching and showing Reports for Admin users. Currently there are 5 OOTB Reports. More reports can be added as needed.

Forms

As your role also provides you with functions of an application owner, you will find resource assignment certification tasks assigned to you. Also, if you wear multiple hats, i.e you are also part of Access Manager approvers' group or the system implementation and fulfillment group then you will find tasks assigned to you here.

IDHub User Functions

The Dashboard also contains User Dashboard functions but we will not delve deeper into it in Admin Getting Started Guide. Refer User Getting started guide for more information on that section
