Identity Hub provides notifications to end users that can be customized using the email notification template management functionality in IDHub Admin Console. All email notifications associated with various workflows are displayed within IDHub admin console email templates module.  This module enables the administrators to create new notification templates and update the existing templates. Administrators can view all the outbound emails, manage enable, disable, update and deletion of notifications being sent to the end-users. 



Below are the different features of the Notifications module.

Create Notification Template

Admins can create new notification templates. Create new notifications template has fields such as Template Name, Description, Subject, an editor for Email Body content and the ability to preview the email . Once a notification template is created, it gets saved in the Mongo DB.

Search Notification Template

This feature allows the admin to search for all the existing notification templates through the IDHub admin console Email Templates module. Admin shall search for the templates using Name and the system shall list all the matching templates in the table based on the search keywords entered by the admin. On the click of any notification template from the list, details of that notification template are displayed.

Notification Details

This  enables the admin to view the details of the notification template and to activate or deactivate the version of the notification template. It also enables the admin to edit and update the template which will be used for sending notifications.

Template Status

All the templates are to be 'Active' unless disabled by the admin. If a notification is disabled by the admin the notifications queue up an can be viewed in the notification logs tab. They will be sent to the user as soon as the notification is enabled again. The notification queue can also be deleted to move the status of the log from queued to deleted. 

Notification Logs 

Each Notification is also associated with notification logs that indicate the various notifications sent out by the IDHub System . The logs status reflects the notification is either sent, queued for send or deleted from notification logs.

Notification logs capture:

Name : The name of the user who the notification is for.

Email: The email id of the user the notification is for.

Status : The status of the log - sent, queued, deleted

Date & Time : The time stamp of the notification action


Enable/Disable

Admin has the privilege to enable and disable the notifications sent out to the cuser. This can be achieved by using enable and disable features of notifications in the admin console.

Admins can update existing OOTB notification templates from the IDHub admin console email templates module. The following are the various OOTB templates available:
